تفاوت بین SAY,TELL و SPEAK
ممکن است در درک معنای کلمات SAY,TELL و SPEAK دچار اشتباه شوید. خب بهتر است بدانید که شما تنها نیستید. این کلمات انگلیسی افراد زیادی را دچار اشتباه کرده است. در این قسمت تلاش شده است تا تفاوت بین say, tell و speak بیان شود.
Tell/Told
Tell به معنی دادن اطلاعات به یک شخص می‌باشد. به همین دلیل همیشه به دنبال tell (زمان حال) و told (زمان گذشته) نام و یا ضمیر مرتبط با یک شخص بیان می‌شود.
مثال
- Tell meabout the movie. Did you like it?
- Peter, I told younot to eat any cookies before dinner!
- Did you tell Sam about what happened at school today?
- The police told us that the situation was under control.
- Derek and Melissa told everybody that they were engaged to be married.
- You should tell herwhat you think about her idea.
- Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone your secret.
Say / Said
می‌توان say (زمان حال) و یا said (زمان گذشته) را به‌صورت زیر به کاربرد:
- say (something)
- say that (something)
- say (something) to (a person)
- “(something)” a person said
مثال
- Francis saysshe doesn’t like chocolate.
- I said thatthe new website design was great.
- What did the teacher say to you when you failed the test?
- “Nice to meet you,” Harry
توجه کنید که اشتباه زیر را مرتکب نشوید
- He said me that he had to leave.
- He told me that he had to leave.
Speak / spoke
از speak ( زمان حال) و spoke ( زمان گذشته) برای بیان مکالمه زبان‌های مختلف و همچنین روزمره ( و نه اطلاعات خاص) استفاده می‌شود. می‌توانیم از ساختار speak to (someone) و speak with (someone) نیز استفاده نماییم.
مثال‌ها
- I speak
- Does Donna speakItalian?
- Emma is going to speakin front of 500 people at the conference.
- We spoketo the boss this morning. (general conversation, no specific details)
- I need to speakwith you about the new project. (general topic, no details)
درزمانی که بخواهیم بگوییم باکسی صحبت شده است علاوه بر speak to (someone) و یا speak with (someone) می‌توانیم از talk to و یا ای talk with نیز استفاده کنیم.
هرچند باید بدانید که نمی‌توانیم از talk برای بیان توانایی مکالمه در زبانی دیگر استفاده نماییم.
